Allied Schools to Participate in SpouseBuzz Live Event at Camp Pendleton

Laguna Hills, CA, September 21, 2009 – Allied Schools will participate in the upcoming SpouseBuzz Live event on Saturday, September 26th at Camp Pendleton with a booth that addresses the family-friendly education options available to military spouses nationwide, including vocational career training in the medical, real estate, professional and renewable energy fields. With MyCAA available through the DoD, their education may be 100% covered.

Military spouses can learn about the flexible, convenient and self-paced training options available to them and their family by attending SpouseBUZZ Live this weekend. With online courses, live student support and 24/7 access to course materials, Allied offers an education that easily adapts to the military lifestyle.

SpouseBUZZ Live will be held at South Mesa Club, 202850 San Jacinto Road, Camp Pendleton, CA on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Attendees can register at http://www.spousebuzzlive.com/. The event provides military spouses with a forum to connect and share experiences with other military spouses, and includes guest speakers, presenters, giveaways and prizes.

In addition to short-term, career-specific training available to military spouses and their families at Allied Schools, there are high school and certificate and degree programs also available. Allied National High School offers an online high school curriculum for part-time, college-bound and transfer students. Allied American University offers comprehensive certificate and degree programs for military spouses ready to take their education to the next level.

"Online learning is ideal for the needs of military spouses and their children. It's a mobile education that travels with them wherever they go," said George Achenbach, president and CEO of Allied Business Schools, Inc. "They don't have to re-enroll when they move, plus their education is always available. Day or night, they can log onto their courses and meet their requirements on their own terms."

Military spouses may not have to pay any out-of-pocket costs for their education, making their education goals even more within reach. The Military Spouse Career Advancement Account Program (MyCAA) is a Department of Defense (DoD) program that provides financial assistance - up to $6000 - to spouses of active duty military members and spouses of activated Guard and Reserve service members for certification, licensure, education or training in careers in high-growth, high-demand occupations.

SpouseBUZZ Live will enable military spouses to learn more about the education and benefits available to them. There will be helpful team members available to speak one-on-one with them about their training options and how MyCAA can help them get their education with no out-of-pocket costs.
