You probably have heard about the MyCAA program — an extremely population tuition benefit being offered to qualified military spouses. It helps pay tuition for education and training courses and licensing/credentialing fees with online schools such as Allied. But do you know how to apply for the benefits? Start by following the steps of the MyCAA Application procedure below.
To begin your MyCAA Application, visit https://aiportal.acc.af.mil/mycaa/default.aspx. The MyCAA Application process requires that you provide facts about yourself, such as contact information, social security number and sponsor information in order to create an account. Once you have this set-up, you are ready to develop a career plan that’s right for you.
In the Career Plan Tab of the MyCAA Application web site, you will choose the field, career or program type you wish to pursue, and add that career step to your plan. From here, you will add course information to your program.
Ask For FreeYou will now need to obtain approval of your plan by calling a Military OneSource consultant at 1-800-342-9647. After approval, you will be ready to apply for financial aid.
This is the step you have been working toward — applying for MyCAA benefits. First, click the Apply for FA tab in your MyCAA account and then Begin Financial Assistance Application, which is located at the page bottom. Now click the check mark to the left of your selected course and click the green arrow at the bottom of the page.
You will be prompted for the start and end dates of your course. After you enter this information, click on the green arrow to the right and you will move on to the next part of the application.
The Terms & Conditions page will appear. Check the boxes beside each statement, enter your Username and Password just like you did to log into your MyCAA account, and provide a digital signature to the document. After clicking another green arrow on the right, you will proceed to a confirmation of your financial aid application approval. It is important to print this page and keep it safe with your records.
