From the Montgomery GI Bill to MSCAA funds, there are programs tailored to meet your specific academic needs, with no costs incurred by you.

Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB)

The Montgomery GI Bil, also known as MGIB program provides up to 36 months of education benefits. This benefit may be used for degree and certificate programs, flight training, apprenticeship/on-the-job training and correspondence courses. Generally, benefits are payable for 10 years following your release from active duty. (This program is also commonly known as Chapter 30.)

Post 9/11 GI Bill

The Post 9/11 GI Bill provides financial support for education and housing to individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service on or after September 11, 2001, or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days. Approved training under the Post-9/11 GI Bill includes graduate and undergraduate degrees, and vocational/technical training. The amount of support that you may qualify for depends on where you live and what type of degree you are pursuing. (This program is also commonly known as Chapter 33.)

Military Tuition Assistance

Military Tuition Assistance (TA) is an education benefit paid to eligible members of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and National Guard. Each service has the ability to pay up to 100% for the tuition expenses of its service members.

Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts Program (MSCAA)

This DoD program is available to military spouses who have a minimum of one year remaining on active duty.

  • Provides up to $6,000 in financial assistance to spouses of active duty military members and Guard and Reserve service members (deployed for a year or more)
  • Covers certification, licensure, education or training in careers in high-growth, high-demand occupations

Some schools offer military spouse scholarships that cover a portion or all of the costs related to military spouse education

Allied offers a Military Spouse Scholarship Program for military spouses whose active-duty spouse enrolls at Allied using TA.
