The program covers two courses: Medical Coding and Advanced Medical Terminology. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be awarded one certificate. Medical Coding
Medical Coding teaches you how to determine the correct coding for specific medical diagnoses and procedures. Learn how to assign numeric codes and streamline the coding process with your knowledge of the industry-standard ICD-9-CM, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and HCPCS code books. Real-life scenarios, medical charts, and physician documentation will give you the hands-on training you need.
Advanced Medical Terminology
Advanced Medical Terminology (medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology) is the perfect place to start, giving you a solid foundation of essential medical terms and knowledge. It provides you with a well-rounded 
background of the terms and concepts you’ll encounter everyday in the medical field. Your familiarity with this information will give you the skills to succeed on the job.
