Medical Coding teaches you how to determine the correct coding for specific medical diagnoses and procedures. Learn how to assign numeric codes and streamline the coding process with your knowledge of the industry-standard ICD-9-CM, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and HCPCS code books. Real-life scenarios, medical
charts, and physician documentation will give you the hands-on training you need.
Advanced Medical Terminology (medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology) is the perfect place to start, giving you a solid foundation of essential medical terms and knowledge. It provides you with a well-rounded background of the terms and concepts you’ll encounter everyday in the medical field. Your familiarity with this information will give you the skills to succeed on the job.
This course provides step by step instruction on how to prepare for the interviewing and job search process. Lesson assignments on conducting a job search, writing a resume and preparing for a job interview are included. You will also learn about the importance of job tracking, networking as well as how to negotiate job offers. Also included in this course is an instructional video which prepares you for the job interview process. It includes hands on practice on the best ways to answer tough job interview questions.
